Sprint store burglary in Santa Barbara

The Santa Barbara authorities are investigating a Sprint store burglary located on State street in Downtown of Santa Barbara.

The Santa Barbara authorities are investigating a Sprint store burglary located on State street in Downtown of Santa Barbara.

Few witnesses reported the Sprint store burglary to police. They told authorities they heard the store’s burglar alarm, store’s front door was broken and someone inside, placing items into a bag.

Police say, when the suspect noticed the witnesses were watching him, he left the store immediately and ran southbound on State Street.

Santa Barbara Police was able to obtain surveillance video from the store which they say shows the suspect using some slingshot device to break the glass in the front door, then entering the store, cutting the security cables on several of the display phones and other merchandise, and placing them into a bag. The cost of the stolen merchandise is estimated about $7,500.

The burglar was wearing a black color hat, blue Nike shirt, blue jeans, black shoes, and gray and black gloves.
