After robbing Ansonia bank suspect tried to impress singer Taylor Swift

Police say a man with a crush on singer Taylor Swift robbed a Ansonia bank and then went to the star's Rhode Island house where he threw cash over a fence in an attempt to impress her.

Police say a man with a crush on singer Taylor Swift robbed a Ansonia bank and then went to the star’s Rhode Island house where he threw cash over a fence in an attempt to impress her.

Bruce Rowley, of Derby, Connecticut is charged with robbing an Ansonia bank on April 4, 2018. NBC Boston reported.

Authorities say “it seemed he wanted to propose” to Taylor Swift, so Rowley drove 60 miles to Westerly, Rhode Island, and started throwing some of the cash he’s charged with stealing over singer’s fence.

Suspect robbed the bank inside grocery store in Garden Grove

Rowley was pursued by Rhode Island State Police back to Connecticut where he was arrested. That’s where he allegedly told officers about his plan.



The 26-year-old Rowley was held on $100,000 bond at his arraignment. Online Connecticut court records don’t list a defense attorney.
